Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction / Project Manager II to join a leading Design and Construction Management team supporting a major energy account in Houston this role you will oversee capital construction projects from planning through execution ensuring scope schedule budget safety and quality objectives are met. You will work closely with project teams contractors and stakeholders to deliver complex new construction renovation and MEP infrastructure projects in critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Plan develop and manage project schedules and ensure on-time project delivery
Review contractual scope of work and assess impacts from design changes field directives and client bulletins
Prepare cost estimates develop proposals and support change order negotiations to capture additional work
Monitor project budgets forecasts and financial performance; report status risks and progress to leadership
Coordinate and lead job progress meetings with clients contractors and internal teams
Manage subcontractors and ensure alignment with project scope quality standards and timelines
Oversee construction execution including safety compliance quality control and scheduling
Ensure adherence to design specifications building codes and engineering requirements
Maintain strong working relationships with consultants contractors vendors and stakeholders
Perform project documentation meeting minutes reporting and administrative coordination
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Architecture Project Management or related field (Masters preferred)
Minimum 5 years of construction/project management experience in:
New construction and renovations
MEP infrastructure projects
Facilities maintenance plant operations or engineering services
Critical or high-complexity environments (preferred)
At least 5 years of management experience leading project teams or contractors
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Experience with project tools such as MS Project Procore and Bluebeam (preferred)
OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
Strong ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving or undefined processes
