Job Summary

McKessonCustomerDistribution ExperiencePMOis currently seeking a Business Consultantresponsible for the management and delivery of strategic initiatives. TheConsultantwill manage cross-functional teamsto deliver projects within scope budget timelineand withfocused addition theConsultantmustact in a consultative manner toassistbusiness partners in analysis of business processes and in systems and users needs in relation to the business requirementsidentified.

TheConsultantshould also champion the different project/program methodologies includingAgile/SAFeframework to drive a more nimble and agile project experiencewithin the organization and with our business theConsultantwill act as theprojectliaison with business partners/vendorsbothinternal and external toMcKesson.

TheConsultantwill plan organize monitor and manage several strategic initiatives (project portfolio)andis able to collaboratively co-manage projects with otherStrategic Business Consultants ensures the appropriate plans are in place to resolve any issues or project health deficiencies and can provide clear and consistent communications across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadsthe development of business cases for internal strategic projects whose goalsalign withtheenterprise vision mission and business strategies of the organization.

  • Provide strategic and tactical direction for all aspects of delivery of a process.

  • Extremely consultative and provides partners with alternate solutions and recommendations for processes systems and solutions.

  • Conducts business analysis activities using different methodologies as needed for each project.

  • Developsdetailedproject plansimplementation schedules project cost estimates resourceplansand budgets. Coordinates activitiesdefines deliverables and milestones andparticipatesin team assignments. Sets and controls scope.

  • Identifiesproject critical path and dependencies to other ongoing initiatives within the businesses.

  • Identifiesproject risks andpossible mitigations.

  • Takes lead in change management process for each project;anticipateschange leadership needs for business.

  • Ability to design develop ormodifybusiness processes with identification of bottlenecks and process capacities. Ability to map as-is and to-be business processes.

  • Collaborates with business partners to devise/modifyprocesses to solve complex problems and/or improve existing processes.

  • Ability to understand and articulate the To-Be vision and to champion it across the organization.

  • Tracks project issues through resolution during pre- and post-implementation phases.

  • Manage project activities and tasksmonitorprocesses and any business IT technical issue resolutions.

  • Leads/conducts/participatesin all aspects of the project including requirements identification analysis design and development testing (including User Acceptance Testing) and training.

  • Managesand monitorsproject budget and timeline.

  • Facilitates andparticipatesin daily scrum sprint planning and retrospective meetings.

  • Facilitates in collaboration with IT partners and business the backlog grooming process and works with the product development and business teams to size features enhancements understand dependencies constraints risks etc.

  • Supports improvement of project delivery through process improvement and operational excellence.

  • Coaches andmentorsteam in the adoption and maturity of the Agile/SAFemethodologies.

  • Provide regular project status updates tostakeholders and business leadership.

  • Collaborateswith external vendors on variousprojectdelivery assessments and initiatives.

  • Managesthe integration of vendor tasks and tracks vendor deliverables.

  • Providesthought leadershipon initiativesgained through researchandbenchmarkinganalysisas needed;anticipatetrends andensureappropriatesolutionsfor the business.

  • Demonstratedstrong collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Measuresthe projectsolution benefits and key measures of successpost-implementation to ensure projectbenefits are realized.

Minimum Experience Requirements & Education

  • 7years project management or relevant experience ideally at McKesson/in healthcare industry.

  • Bachelors degree in business technical or healthcare related field or equivalent.

  • PMP Certification a plus.

Critical Skills

  • 7yearsofexperiencemanagingstrategic initiativespreferably with process and technology focus.

  • 5 years of consultative experience in a project management-type role.

  • Tenured proventrack recordmanagingcross-functionalprojects ranging in sizecomplexityand impact; experience in all aspects of project management to ensure proper resource management/utilization delivery against scheduled commitments risk mitigation issue management and effective management of client expectations.

  • Demonstrated leadership managerial consultative collaborative influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated change leadership capabilities and knowledge.

  • Strong analytical background to understand how toleveragedata to influence business decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to build high trust relationships with key stakeholders (including business partners and vendors) and ability to communicate with and influence senior level executives.

  • Demonstratedutilizationof project management methodologies especially Agile /SAFeproject delivery.

  • Strong financial and business acumenwithability to create and defend a business caseto show value/benefit ofprojectinitiatives.

  • Experience with organizational process and technologyprojectsas well aschange leadershipbest practices.

  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem-solving skills with focus on opennesshonestyand respect.

  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changeand high growth environments.

  • Ability to manage a portfolio ofdiverseprojects across multiple business partners with multiple geographical locations.

  • Provenability tocoach mentor andmotivateproject team members.

  • Demonstrated ability to measure and achieveprojectiveobjectives.

  • Exceptional communication skills- written verbalpresentationand meeting facilitation.

  • Outstanding organizational skills with a high attention to detail.


Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Abilityto work in a constantly changing environment.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce technology chatbots artificial intelligence.

  • Six Sigma BlackBelt or Green Beltpreferred.

  • Prior experience with Salesforce technology projects.

  • Agile /SAFeworking knowledge and experience in data analytics.

  • Experience working as a project manager or process consultant in asupply chain organization (distribution/logistics contact center inventoryetc.)environment.

  • Proficient in all MS Office products.

  • Working knowledge of Visio and project/program management software.

Work Environment

  • Fully remote work environment.

  • Able to travel domestically 10% of the time.

  • If the selected candidate lives within a 50-mile radius of our Irving Office the Employee will have a hybrid schedule and be required to work on-site a minimum of two (2) days per week with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities.
