Job Summary
ENGLISH TEACHER - Long Term Substitute
Starting May 26 2026
The successful candidate will:
- Promote 21st century educational excellence through the vigorous support of the mission and goals of The Woodstock Academy; and
- Facilitate individual departmental and school excellence through the support of high-quality personnel reinforcement of best instructional practices encouragement of a culture of collaboration and a focus on learning.
Minimum qualifications:
- CT 015 certification;
- Demonstrated excellence in secondary school instruction block schedule teaching experience preferred;
- Demonstrated knowledge of process-focused writing the development of critical thinking skills through literary analysis and the application of grammar fundamentals to improve written and oral expression;
- Experience or familiarity with best practices for teaching English Language Learners;
- Experience with current instructional technology; and
- Positive attitude personal and professional integrity and a high value placed on collaboration and professional growth.
