Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.

Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;

Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;

Four years of appropriate work experience two of which must be in the last five years.

Special Requirements:

Requires current RN license and one year of long-term care experience obtained in an approved skilled nursing facility or distinct part (SNF or NF) long-term care unit as defined in Federal Regulations Part 483 Requirements for State and Long-Term Care Facilities.

Certification:

See: 16 KAR 2:020 Occupation-based career and technical education certification-Issuance of one year Provisional Certificate. Completion of three (3) semester hoursof credit in the occupational area OR successfully completing the New TeacherInstitute (NTI).

Salary commensurate with years of experience and rank.

Working 185 days per year
