Warehouse associate: Picking-Outbound

Ensure QEDs customers receive prompt and accurate orders. Responsibilities include shipping receiving storing and delivering a wide variety of materials and supplies.

What youll do:

  • Load unload and move materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.
  • Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers which need to be picked moved or staged.
  • Collect and pick all materials included customer orders using the pick ticket.
  • Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage during the shipping process.
  • Properly wrap label and mark material for easy identification and loading.
  • Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.
  • Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.
  • Unload incoming vehicles prepare necessary receiving documents and receive the materials.
  • Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
  • Clean work areas machines and equipment on a routine basis.
  • Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area. Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Count weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading invoices orders or other records; examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with purchasing.
  • Ohter duities may be assigned.
  • Schedule: 10:00am-7:00pm (Monday-Friday)
  • Location: Mesa AZ

What youll bring:

  • Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
  • Data-entry reporting and recordkeeping skills.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and wears PPE as assigned.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.
  • Strong mathematical skills to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure including fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
  • Must be a team player and abide by QEDs strong core values and beliefs.
  • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing. Able to present information to management customers vendors employees and the public.
  • Problem-solving skills including collecting and presenting data establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint is preferred.
