Job Title: Surgical Technologist - Operating Room (OR Tech)

Location: Syracuse NY

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 AM - 03:00 PM) Monday through Friday

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Harrison One Day Surgery Center in Syracuse NY. This is a day shift position (Monday-Friday) with no weekends or holidays. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center with strong expertise in ortho general ENT vascular and GYN surgical cases. Certification is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience (within the last 4 years) in an operating room in an acute care facility such as a Level 1 trauma center or teaching hospital or an equivalent size facility in the specialty area (adult or pediatric).
• Scrub experience required with proficiency in general surgery and specialty areas such as ortho neurosurgery trauma vascular ENT bariatric GU GYN.
• Certification is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
• Ability to perform general skills in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision.
• No First Assist in New York State (First Assist not required).

Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties (Ortho General ENT Vascular GYN).
• Provide sterile and efficient assistance in the operating room.
• Maintain surgical instruments and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Work with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedure success.
• Ensure sterilization and cleaning protocols are followed for all surgical equipment.
