The IT Software Test Engineer II role is responsible for building robust scalable and high-quality test automation solutions. Working on an agile Scrum Team the IT Software Test Engineer is responsible for aiding in testing First Nationals internal systems with: functional automation testing API testing and using agile methodologies. The IT Software Test Engineer II role is responsible for code reviews and coaching Junior Test Engineers. Design develop and maintain scalable and reusable automated test scripts and frameworks for functional API and regression and enhance automated test cases using modern automation tools and frameworks aligned with team standards and best with initial on-the-job training for new IT Test hands on experience leveraging AI assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot or equivalent) in day-to-day automation test development to accelerate script creation improve coding efficiency and enhance overall experience independently reviewing validating and refining AI generated or AI assisted automation test scripts ensuring correctness maintainability security compliance and adherence to established coding standards and best automated test cases scripts and scenarios to validate software functionality and in assessing product quality and release creation and execution of automated test test automation failures and determine the root report and track defects by using bug tracking tools and work closely with development teams to ensure timely with the testing of all programming changes affecting First Nationals software b2b connections webservice calls documents underwriting systems websites etc. All testing is to be documented and reviewed before sign-offAssist with preparing for the implementation of software and product other duties as assigned by the and Attributes:Strong practical experience using AI assisted development and test automation tools to design automation solutions troubleshoot complex automation issues and consistently improve productivity and delivery to think independently problem solve and grasp new concepts programming and scripting skills (e.g. C# Java JavaScript)Strong capability and desire to learn and innovate in a changing debugging troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with cross-functional to self-motivate prioritize and meet deadlines.
