Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III to support both phlebotomy services and non-invasive cardiac testing in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role plays a critical part in patient diagnostics ensuring accuracy efficiency and a high standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and collect clinical specimens for laboratory testing.
Verify patient identity and provide clear instructions for specimen collection procedures.
Transport specimens to the laboratory following established protocols.
Conduct non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures including EKGs Holter monitoring and stress testing.
Complete and maintain accurate documentation and lab requisitions.
Enter and manage patient data within hospital information systems.
Collaborate with nursing staff lab personnel and leadership to ensure efficient workflow.
Follow infection control protocols and maintain proper use of PPE at all times.
Support nursing units with specimen collection and diagnostic needs.
Assist in training and mentoring new staff and clinical students as assigned.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
Identify and escalate workflow challenges or quality concerns.
Participate in departmental meetings training and continuing education.
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
Deliver exceptional patient-centered care at all times.
