Job Summary
COLSA Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Buyer that will be responsible for purchasing a variety of highly complex or unusual technical or high dollar value materials supplies and/or services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Responsible for purchasing a variety of highly complex or unusual technical or high dollar value materials supplies and/or services. *
- Evaluates bids selects and recommends suppliers and negotiates pricing delivery quality and service *
- Follows up on awards until completion of order *
- Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims rejections losses return of materials etc. *
- Places orders for supplies etc. with approved suppliers *
- Coordinates with accounts payable or accounting department as needed to resolve questions on suppliers invoices
- Conducts visits to supplier sites to rate for production capability performance and delivery capabilities
- Provide work leadership for lower level employees
- Monitor and reallocate workloads for lower level employees
