Overview:

The Corporate Counsel Commercial role will be a part of Mitels global Legal Team and act as a business partner to international stakeholders. With a primary focus in the UK & International region the Corporate Counsel Commercial role will support the UK & International sales team on all aspects of the sales process including responding to public and private sector RFPs and direct sales addition Mitel may require legal support across a number of other functions including HR facilities trade compliance litigation procurement corporate law /M&A etc.

Responsibilities:

• Guide and support the bid team in review response and negotiation of public and private sector RFPs; support the sales team in respect of any direct sales deals and with sales through our Channel Partnerships.

• Reviewing terms and comments drafting negotiations of hardware and software cloud managed services maintenance and data processing agreements.

• Drafting and improving templates.

• Meeting business objectives by working closely with various teams within Mitel (sales finance procurement product management information security data protection and compliance) while ensuring risks are mitigated and managed.

• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and corporate policy.

• Developing Mitels policies to align with regulatory requirements and internal strategic direction.

• Supporting corporate secretarial and corporate governance needs.

Requirements:

• Industry or In-House experience supporting legal negotiations for the sale and/or procurement of hardware and software cloud managed services maintenance and data processing agreements.

• Experience or desire to develop skills in any other functional areas.

• Must be UK qualified.

• Knowledge of and experience in public procurement law is preferable.

• Self-directed and motivated with a strong ability to multitask and work under pressure.

• Practical and solutions oriented.

• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work harmoniously in a diverse and changing work environment.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal customer service and organizational skills.

• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Focus on continuous process improvement.

• Experience in an international environment.

• German or other language skills are desirable.
