Job Title: Sustainability Intern

Job Type: Full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) Temporary (Starting June 22 2026/ 8-week contract)

Schedule: Weekdays

Salary: $20/hour

What youll be doing:

• Collecting and recording data on donated textiles including brand type and material composition.
• Sorting and tracking plastic recycling streams by type and color to support proper diversion processes.
• Monitoring and documenting product quality to support sustainability and waste reduction analysis.
• Supporting organics recycling programs by tracking participation weights and site compliance.
• Assisting with energy and sustainability reporting by compiling and validating data from multiple sources.
• Conducting waste audits at Impact Centres and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting sustainability initiatives and campaigns (e.g. Earth Month Culture Days) and contributing to environmental engagement activities.

What you bring to the table:

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Business Administration Sustainability Environmental Sciences or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately collect and record data.
• Analytical mindset with an interest in sustainability metrics and environmental impact.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Interest in sustainability recycling systems and circular economy principles.
