Job Summary
Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Acute Care)
Location: Onsite
Type: Local & Travel Accepted
Shift: Day Shift 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Schedule: 5x8 Hours
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
The Occupational Therapist provides acute care rehabilitation services across hospital units supporting patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions to improve functional independence.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1518 months recent OT experience Required
Active Georgia Occupational Therapy License Required
AHA BLS Certification Required
Experience in acute care setting Required
Experience with ICU stroke/neuro ortho and general debility patients Preferred
Experience with Cerner (One Chart) Preferred
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat acute care patients per physician orders
Provide therapy for ICU stroke neurological orthopedic and general debility cases
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Support patient mobility ADLs and functional recovery
Document treatment progress in Cerner system
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols
Manage caseload across multiple hospital units
