Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Hyannis MA (02601)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours per Week
Shift: Night Shift (12-hour shifts 7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend & holiday rotation required
Compensation:
Weekly Gross Pay: $2574 $2803
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in emergency nursing practices patient assessment and critical care interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment planning implementation and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses effectively
- Maintain accurate timely and comprehensive patient documentation
- Perform ongoing patient assessments including physical psychological and social needs
- Develop and communicate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Serve as a resource and mentor for staff including assuming charge nurse responsibilities when required
- Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems efficiently
- Participate in staff meetings training programs and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols infection control and hospital policies
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Maintain professional development and stay current with clinical practices
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
- At least 1 year of ER travel experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Experience with IV administration ventilators and telemetry monitoring
Preferred Certifications
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- De-escalation training certification
