Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) to join a specialized Cardiac/Step-Down this role you will provide advanced patient-centered care to individuals with acute and chronic cardiac conditions in a monitored environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment proficiency in cardiac monitoring and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced high-acuity settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to cardiac and step-down patients
• Monitor interpret and respond to ECG rhythms and arrhythmias
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions
• Administer medications including cardiac drips per physician orders
• Coordinate and implement comprehensive patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses treatments and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate timely and compliant clinical documentation
• Identify safety risks and implement appropriate preventive measures
• Provide care across diverse patient populations (adolescent to geriatric)
• Support quality improvement initiatives and unit-based goals

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri or compact state)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma ADN or BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in cardiac telemetry or step-down units

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire
