- Schedule: 4 On 4 Off 10 hour days Sunday - Wednesday 3:15pm - 1:15am

- 4 bay shop with 2 pits

We are looking for experienced Mechanics / Apprentice to join our Arrow family at our Chilliwack BC branch. As an Arrow mechanic you will perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of tractors trailers and mobile equipment.

Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuriesin a timely mannerto the supervisorin order tofacilitateprompt correction or reportingMaintain a clean and orderly work environmentProvide routine maintenanceon tractors trailers and mobile equipment such as forklifts and loadersCheck all equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment todetect faults and malfunctionsDiagnose defects inall equipmentDiagnose any faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment todetermineextent of repair that isrequiredPerform incidental weldingrepairson equipmentDemonstrate continuous effort to improve operations decrease turnaround times streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer servicePerform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and road calls whenrequiredOperate automotive servicing equipment e.g. A/C recycler etcAbility tooperatethe equipment that is serviced i.e. bring truckstrailersand mobile equipment in and out of the require a Class 1 driving licenseInstallation of new and added-on equipmentElectrical and hydraulic troubleshooting diagnostics and repairAbility toeffectively and efficiently prioritize daily workRepair cooling and lubrication systemsDiagnose and repair mechanical transmissionsdrive-trainsand final drivesTest repaired equipment for proper performanceClean lubricate andperform other maintenance workInstruct apprenticesAccurate completion of work orders andtime cardsKeep detailed andaccuratemaintenance reports and documentationMaintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniquesComplying withall rules and regulations protocols andestablishedmetricsFollow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulationsparticipateinidentifyinghazardsAbilityto understand cross trainingon all functions at facilityOther mechanical repair work asrequiredYou Possess
- Journeymans certificate Red Seal or equivalent qualification
- 2nd year or higher apprentices welcome to apply
- Appropriate credentials and certifications
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical including schematics and diagnostics
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Demonstratesstrong communicationskills both verbally and written
- Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Computer literate
- Must pass physical to ensurebona fidejob requirements can be fulfilled
