What you will do:

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internshiplocatedin Houston Texas. TheIntern Systems Technicianperforms assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools and troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical electrical and controls problems.

How you will doit:

  • Loads system-levelcontrollersoftware.

  • Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (e.g. sensors actuators etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation.

  • Keeps management and informed of job progress and issues.

  • Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.

  • Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets expense reports and on-site documentation.

  • Documentschangesandprovidesinformation for as-built documentation.

  • Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training.High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

What we look for

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university or in a relevant technical school or community college program

  • Pursuing a degree inAssociate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree or equivalent

  • An effective communicator to all levels of the organization

  • Must havedemonstratedcomputer skills including use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently

  • Strong communicationskills (verbal and written) preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience or classes related to HVAC/Controls

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experience knowledgeskills and abilities of the applicant internal equity location and alignment with market data.)
