$22.00 - $22.00Essential Functions
- Registers or Pre-registers all scheduled patients for admission partial hospitalization and outpatient services.
- Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorization for all services that requires authorization pre-certification and/or referral.
- Coordinates with patients and scheduling departments to reschedule procedures until authorization or patient payment can be arranged. Requests upfront payment of deposits from responsible party.
- Updates schedule for cancellations rescheduling and other changes on an ongoing basis.
This position frequently requires walking from different areas. Must be able to push a wheelchair with patient in it and maneuver through doors up/down ramps and elevators. Must be able to respond quickly to medical STATS and emergencies. This position requires sitting frequently. Must be able to lift 20-50 pounds occasionally. Works in a fast-paced environment with numerous interruptions.
