Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Orthopedic Practice
Location: Paramus NJ
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks Extension Possible)
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Compensation:
- $1350 $1560/week (Based on experience)
Position Overview:
A reputable healthcare organization is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join an orthopedic practice. The LPN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
- Collect and document non-interpretive patient data including physiological psychosocial and cognitive status
- Assist patients with daily activities such as hygiene ambulation and meals
- Position patients and provide pre-operative post-operative and post-mortem care as required
- Maintain a safe patient environment by responding promptly to patient needs and reporting changes in condition to the RN
- Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs (age culture language and physical abilities)
- Communicate effectively with patients families and caregivers at an appropriate level
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to support efficient clinical operations
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Experience in orthopedic or clinical practice preferred (not required but beneficial)
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
Certifications & Licensure:
- Active New Jersey LPN License (Required)
- BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association)
