The Neurohospitalist Faculty in the Department of Neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center will support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care.This role will diagnose treat and manage neurological patients in an inpatient setting.
They will provide care and consultative services of acute neurological disorders. Schedules are structured with a 7 days on/7 days off model with the option for additional shifts per month or outpatient clinic for additional compensation.
In addition this role actively contributes to the education and training of learners including medical students residents fellows or other trainees and participates in departmental and divisional academic activities.

Job Duties
Diagnose treat and manage patients with neurological conditions in an inpatient setting.
Provide care and consultative services for acute neurological disorders.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
Educate medical students residents and fellows through formal lectures and bedside teaching.

Required Qualifications
Education: M.D. D.O. or equivalent.
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements institutional standards of academic and professional excellence alignment with peer institution benchmarks and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
Certifications/Licenses:
Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Kansas.
Board-certified or Board-eligible in Neurology.
Work Experience:
Residency training in Neurology.
