Job Summary
Required Qualifications:
Associate or Equivalent Education (GED/High School Diploma 1 yr transferrable program/functional experience).
Experience relevant to the role of the position.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through oral written and visual channels using traditional marketing materials as well as digital technology.
Ability to design and technically execute creative dynamic and interactive user-friendly web pages and social media content.
Computer literacy including experience with the Macintosh and/or PC-based Windows environment.
Familiarity with basic design software web editing software e-commerce software.
Outgoing creative and caring personality with a strong desire to grow professionally and personally.
Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
Ability to meet acceptable background check standards if required
Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends as appropriate.
Position may increase in hours during high programming times (ex: summer camp)
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of design or comparable experience.
Experience managing Google Ads.
Experience with AI generated content.
Experience with Adobe Suite software.
Experience with video production journalism and photography.
Experience with and/or enthusiasm for working with youth outdoors.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Direction- 5%
Support Primitive Pursuits team in developing appropriate strategies to maximize return on investment.
Assist with the continual development of Primitive Pursuits brand as it pertains to values deliverables and quality of program as part of the Primitive Pursuits team.
Assist in planning effective strategic communications.
Management- 40%
Under direction of supervisor manage and plan website pages to strategically increase lead generation email opt-ins enrollment and other organizational goals.
Monitor website social media and other communication methods use-age and support the measurement of the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Make recommendations to supervisor for strengthening and improving the marketing plan.
Act as production and marketing expert for staff within the program by consulting with them on marketing projects and providing high level advice on creation of marketing materials.
Under direction of supervisor enhance relationships with community organizations in order to build connections to enhance marketing efforts.
Ensure that social media content contains current and timely program related news and information under the established program parameter.
Coordination/Operation- 50%
Develop customer profiles and segmentation.
Upgrade website based on changes in program and program needs.
Design and create online and offline marketing and fundraising campaign materials.
Initiate regular website updates and online content creation and implement strategic development plans for 4-H Primitive Pursuits website.
Design create and deliver all email newsletters to various audiences.
Design and create new webpages and make appropriate updates to existing webpages.
Support educator staff with preparation of program brochures and fliers.
Coordinate displays and represent Primitive Pursuits at events fairs under guidance of supervisor.
Handle bulk mail and print media delivery to various local outlets.
Coordinate photography and photo tagging archiving etc.
Coordinate the placement of advertising in online and offline media.
Professional Improvement and Other Duties as Assigned -5%
In cooperation with Supervisor and/or Executive Director jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes in programming and Association priorities.
Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension including but not limited to attendance at staff meetings timely reporting of expenses working with other staff general marketing of Extension programs and other duties as assigned.

Support the Association to maintain a safe working environment.
Be familiar and strive to follow any applicable federal state local regulations Association health and safety policy/procedure/requirement and standard.
Act proactively to prevent accidents/injuries and communicate hazards to supervisors when identified.

This is a Part time 30 hours per week non-exempt benefits eligibleposition. Compensation paid at the rate of $24.00 per hour. Excellent benefits based on eligibility including:
