Location: Hybrid; Residency in Dallas/Fort Worth TX area required.
Schedule: 1st Shift (8a-5p CST); Monday through Friday. Must be available after-hours for urgent security escalations.
Compensation: $120000-$150000k (annually)
Your Mission as a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO):
As a vCISO you will serve as a trusted advisor to client organizations leading the development and execution of cybersecurity strategies tailored to their business objectives. Youll provide governance direct incident response optimize security architecture and strengthen enterprise resilience through a riskdriven businessaligned approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation refinement and execution of incident response plans including investigations and breach remediation.
Develop and oversee holistic security strategies policies and governance frameworks.
Evaluate and mitigate risks to ensure the confidentiality integrity and availability of critical systems and data.
Build security programs that align with industry regulations compliance requirements and organizational goals.
Deliver executivelevel guidance and communicate complex security concepts in business terms.
Drive security awareness programs that promote a culture of proactive risk management.
Manage thirdparty vendor risk and ensure secure supplychain operations.
Present regular updates to senior leadership regarding risk incidents and overall security posture.
Partner with IT architecture and business leaders to integrate security into enterprise design and operations.
Monitor emerging threats technologies and regulatory requirements to continuously refine security strategy.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field. Masters degree in related field (preferred).
10 years of progressive experience in Information Security or IT
Minimum 5 years in a cybersecurity leadership or executivelevel role
Proven success guiding organizational security strategy or leading security programs
Certifications (Preferred)
CISSP CISM CISA or equivalent seniorlevel security credentials
Knowledge Skills & Leadership Attributes
Deep understanding of risk management compliance security frameworks and incident response
Ability to build longterm executivelevel security roadmaps aligned with organizational strategy
Exceptional problemsolving strategic analysis and situational judgment
Demonstrated leadership influencing crossfunctional teams and senior stakeholders
