Job Title: IT Project Manager / Project Lead

Location: Columbia SC -Hybrid (3 days onsite 2 days remote)
Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Project Lead to oversee multiple IT projects within a healthcare-focused environment. This role requires strong leadership organizational and communication skills to ensure successful project delivery stakeholder alignment and adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering and developing business requirements.
• Create comprehensive project plans and manage execution.
• Identify assess and manage project risks and issues.
• Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and with high quality.
• Provide regular status reporting both written and verbal to stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate with internal teams management and external vendors to support project execution.
• Maintain and manage project documentation metrics and reporting.
• Support portfolio/program planning activities and related deliverables.
• Perform other project-related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in technical business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare insurance IT environments.
• Experience in project planning including effort estimation and resource allocation.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presenting to leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medicaid or healthcare delivery systems.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience working with tools such as:
  • SharePoint
  • MS Project
  • Visio
  • PowerPoint Word Excel Access
• Familiarity with risk management practices including identifying triggers and mitigation strategies.
• Experience creating and maintaining project management artifacts and documentation.
