Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)
Location: Fort Walton Beach FL 32547
Pay: $29.04 $39.60/hour (based on experience) shift differentials

Schedule Options:

• Day shifts (rotating weekends)
• Night shifts (rotating weekends)

Compensation Highlights:

• Night shift differential available
• Sign-on bonus available ($10K days / $15K nights)

Position Overview

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient-centered care within a fast-paced inpatient med-surg unit. This role is responsible for comprehensive nursing care delivery including assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patient conditions. The RN collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe effective and compassionate care using evidence-based practices and structured care models such as Assess Perform Teach and Manage.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Duties

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments throughout the shift
• Identify document and promptly report changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses (therapeutic and adverse effects)
• Carry out provider orders including treatments procedures and monitoring
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in patient records

Patient Advocacy & Education

• Deliver compassionate patient-centered care and anticipate patient needs
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatments and medications
• Communicate complex medical information in an understandable manner

Collaboration & Quality Improvement

• Coordinate care plans with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies clinical standards and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• Acute care experience not mandatory
