Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient-centered care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating care for adult patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient conditions and document changes accurately
- Maintain and update patient medical records
- Review and document diagnostic test results
- Educate patients and families on medications treatments and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Ensure adherence to safety infection control and hospital policies
Required Qualifications:
- Active Florida RN license or compact license (FL license required within 90 days)
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Acute care experience required (recent LTAC-only experience not accepted)
- BLS certification (AHA) required prior to start or within 30 days
