DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Director Corporate Communications located in Raynham Massachusetts.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies as may be required regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview
The Sr. Director Corporate Communications will lead the strategic direction development and execution of enterpriselevel communications for DePuy Synthes. This role is critical in shaping the companys reputation strengthening employee engagement and supporting business priorities during a period of transformation and growth. The position serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and plays a pivotal role in ensuring consistent transparent and impactful communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the global corporate communications strategy to support DePuy Synthes business objectives brand positioning and organizational transformation.
- Serve as a strategic communications advisor to executive leadership providing counsel on messaging stakeholder engagement and reputational risk.
- Oversee internal communications to drive employee engagement change adoption and alignment with company priorities and values.
- Lead external communications including corporate announcements media relations executive communications and thought leadership.
- Manage crisis and issues communications ensuring timely accurate and coordinated responses.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with Legal HR Regulatory Marketing and Business Leaders to ensure messaging accuracy and compliance.
- Build lead and develop a highperforming communications team and manage agency partnerships as needed.
- Ensure all communications align with Johnson & Johnsons Credo and leadership expectations.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Communications Journalism Public Relations Marketing or a related field (required).
- Masters degree or MBA (preferred).
Experience and Skills
Required:
- Typically requires 12 years of progressive experience in corporate communications public relations or related disciplines with significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience leading enterpriselevel communication strategies in a complex regulated environment.
- Demonstrated success advising senior and executive leadership.
- Strong experience managing internal and external communications including media relations and change communications.
- Experience leading and developing highperforming teams.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare medical devices pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience supporting corporate transformations mergers separations or largescale change initiatives.
- Global communications experience and crosscultural collaboration.
- Strong stakeholder management and crisis communications expertise.
- Familiarity with digital and employee communication platforms.
- Exceptional written verbal and executivelevel communication skills.

$178000.00 - $307050.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:Vacation 120 hours
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado 48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington 56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay including Floating Holidays 13 days per calendar year
Work Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
