Title: Senior Tax Associate Real Estate
Location: Irvine CA (or Orange County CA) hybrid (50% in-office)
Salary: $80K$122K base (DOE)
Overview
A growing public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to support real estate-focused clients. This role offers a mix of tax compliance research and client advisory with opportunities to contribute to planning strategies and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals partnerships and S- and C-corporations
- Apply knowledge of partnership taxation (Subchapter K) in client engagements
- Identify research and resolve common tax issues
- Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for client optimization
- Assist in developing tax strategies aligned with client goals
- Contribute to improving service delivery and internal processes
- Support practice leadership with planning budgeting and strategic initiatives
- Mentor and coach junior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Tax Finance or related field
- 2 years of public accounting tax experience (U.S. compliance/consulting)
- Experience working with multiple entity types
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and build client relationships
Preferred
- Masters in Taxation or related field
- CPA or progress toward certification
