Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Heart & Vascular Sonographer to join a hospital-based Heart & Vascular department. This role involves performing high-quality non-invasive diagnostic ultrasound procedures in both echocardiography and vascular imaging.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in transthoracic echocardiography a patient-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team. This opportunity offers exposure to advanced imaging technology and a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform non-invasive echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures
Acquire high-quality diagnostic images using ultrasound equipment
Review patient history and clinical data prior to examinations
Ensure accurate documentation and complete study records
Adhere to established imaging protocols and quality standards
Educate patients and families on procedures in a clear professional manner
Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Assist with scheduling urgent and add-on cases as needed
Maintain workflow efficiency and support patient throughput goals
Ensure cleanliness organization and supply readiness in work areas
Operate and maintain imaging equipment in a safe and effective manner
Participate in quality assurance peer review and process improvement initiatives
Stay current with evolving imaging protocols and continuing education
Attend departmental meetings and training sessions
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound training program
Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience
Strong proficiency in transthoracic echocardiography
Solid understanding of ultrasound imaging standards and technology
Knowledge of DICOM systems networking and electronic medical records
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in both cardiac and vascular sonography
Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance practices
Prior experience in a hospital-based imaging setting
