What youll be doing

As a Relationship Manager youll focus on growing direct revenue retaining high-net-worth client relationships and expanding business within your portfolio. Youll align with clients sophisticated financial needs investment objectives and our organizations strategy while actively growing your client base through networking community involvement and exceptional relationship management. Youll leverage your expertise in investment and wealth advisory services to deliver tailored solutions that inspire trust and drive results. Your proactive approach will help deepen relationships support new business development efforts and ensure a seamless client experience.

How youll succeed

• Manage client relationships Oversee a portfolio of high-net-worth clients to ensure strong retention and continued business growth while aligning with investment objectives and firm policies.

• Expand your portfolio Acquire new clients with complex financial needs through strategic business development activities and close collaboration with Business Development Officers.

• Drive profitability Achieve revenue goals manage expenses and monitor overall profit performance taking timely action when needed.

• Deliver exceptional service Foster a high-touch service culture by leveraging your expertise in investment and wealth advisory services to deliver tailored client solutions.

• Engage in client events Participate in client events to deepen relationships and support new business development efforts.

• Collaborate effectively Partner across internal teams to provide a seamless professional and timely client experience.

• Ensure compliance Implement and maintain strong operational and compliance risk controls across all activities.

Who you are

• You have a strong educational background. You hold a bachelors degree (required) and advanced certifications such as MBA CFA CPA or CFP are preferred.

• You have wealth management expertise. You bring 5 years of experience in portfolio management wealth management personal tax or financial planning.

• You have investment knowledge. You have a strong understanding of investment products and strategies designed for sophisticated high-net-worth clients.

• Youre financially savvy. Youre skilled in financial analysis and can offer expert advice on complex high-value relationships.

• Youre a relationship builder. You excel at cultivating lasting client relationships and delivering tailored recommendations that inspire trust and action.

• Youre a confident communicator. Youre comfortable presenting to both small groups and large audiences with excellent written skills for crafting professional proposals and presentations.

• Youre service-oriented. You act with professionalism and sound judgment always keeping the clients success in focus.

• Youre risk aware. You maintain a strong understanding of operational regulatory and compliance-related requirements.

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $175000 - 225000 for the Houston TX market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
