Job Title: Nurse Manager Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
Location: Dallas TX 75230
Pay: Starting at $56.74/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
The Nurse Manager Inpatient Rehabilitation Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations coordination and evaluation of nursing care within a rehabilitation unit. This leadership role ensures the delivery of safe high-quality patient-centered care while promoting staff development operational efficiency and continuous performance improvement. The Nurse Manager collaborates closely with senior leadership to support clinical excellence staffing strategies and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care Leadership
- Ensure delivery of safe high-quality patient care within the rehabilitation unit
- Maintain compliance with established nursing standards and professional practice guidelines
- Promote continuity of care and effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between patients families and care teams
Operations & Unit Management
- Oversee daily clinical and operational functions of a 33-bed inpatient rehab unit
- Maintain 24-hour accountability for unit performance and patient outcomes
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and care delivery
Staff Management & Development
- Lead recruitment hiring scheduling and performance evaluations for nursing staff (approx. 45 FTEs)
- Provide coaching mentorship and performance management
- Facilitate staff meetings training programs and ongoing education initiatives
- Serve as a clinical resource and advocate for team members
Quality & Performance Improvement
- Participate in quality improvement and outcome-driven initiatives
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies procedures and regulatory standards
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Support budgeting financial planning and resource allocation
- Contribute to cost control and operational efficiency efforts
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field
- Active RN License (Texas or Compact State)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 12 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) required within 3 years of hire
- FIM Certification (UDSMR credential) required within 60 days of hire
Experience Requirements
- 35 years of experience as a staff nurse in inpatient rehabilitation
- 35 years of leadership or management experience (or demonstrated leadership capability)
- Strong clinical expertise in rehabilitation nursing
