Location:7300 South Kedzie Ave. Chicago IL 60629

Work Hours:This position is 100% onsite working 3rd shift to start (11pm to 7am M-F) with a possible move to 2nd shift and weekends so flexibility is critical.

Description:

• Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and food safety regulations.
• Monitor production lines for adherence to established quality protocols and report any deviations immediately.
• Implement and manage quality holds as necessary ensuring proper documentation of the reasons for holds and the outcomes of investigations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of quality control activities including inspections investigations and resolutions.
• Work closely with production staff to ensure understanding and compliance with quality expectations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives in line with regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality safety and efficiency within the manufacturing process.
• Prepare reports on quality metrics and communicate findings to management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Food Science Quality Manufacturing or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 35 years of experience in quality food safety or manufacturing roles.
• Experience executing quality holds investigations and documentation.
• Willingness to work assigned production shift (1st 2nd or 3rd shift).
• Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements (e.g. QCMS HACCP FSSC) preferred.
