A leading healthcare organization is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join their clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hospital lab settings and be comfortable working across multiple departments independently after training.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate laboratory testing and ensure timely reporting of results
Collect process and handle patient specimens
Conduct testing in hematology chemistry urinalysis and blood bank
Perform blood bank procedures including ABO/Rh typing crossmatching antibody screening and transfusion workups
Operate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers
Document and report test results using electronic medical records (Cerner system)
Follow quality control procedures and adhere to laboratory protocols
Float between multiple facilities as required
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient care
Work independently across all lab departments after training
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Lab Technician
Prior experience in a hospital-based clinical laboratory required
Experience with Cerner charting system required
Ability to work at multiple locations (floating required)
Availability for weekend rotation (every 3rd weekend)
Certifications:
ASCP-MLS / ASCP-MLT / MT (Required)
Education:
Associates Degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Technology
