Job Summary
RTÉ Podcasts is currently seeking expressions of interest for presenting roles in sports podcasting.
RTÉ Podcasts has ambitious plans to develop a high impact slate of original podcasts that connects with 25-44 audiences.
Sport will be a key vertical within this slate and presenters involved will be central to the development of a multiplatform sports offering which aligns with RTÉs podcast strategy and delivers on the goals set out in the New Direction Strategy.
These shows will exist in both audio and video form and will be multiplatform with presence on platforms including but not exclusive to RTÉs Audio App YouTube Instagram and TikTok.
With that in mind RTÉ Podcasts is looking for dynamic individuals with strong on-air presence and a proven track record in digital media.
Any employee who expressed an interest in sport in last years Expressions of Interest process for RTÉ Radio 1 and News and Current Affairs will be considered for these roles.
This supplementary Expressions of Interest process is for staff members who did not apply last year but are interested in specific podcasting roles.
A shortlist of potential sport podcast presenters will be created as a result of this process. When a specific role becomes available this shortlist will be used alongside a weighted criteria for the specific role as part of the process to identify a suitable candidate.
Those shortlisted may be required to interview and/or pilot as part of the process.
If you did not enter last years Expressions of Interest process and want to take part in this supplementary process please submit your cover letter CV and a link to a showreel (max 10 minutes). Please attach these as one file in the online application process.
Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 15th May.
