Job Summary

JOB PURPOSE

The Continuous Improvement Engineer (CIE) is a hands-on problem solver and change agent who strengthens operational disciplineeliminateslosses and drives sustainable performance across the factory. As part of the Manufacturing Excellence team the CIE leads key elements of UMS (Unilever Manufacturing System) R2S (Run to Standard) 5S Training System development and Continuous Improvement to enhance safety quality reliability and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

UMS / R2S / Factory Systems Leadership

Lead and support deployment of Unilever Manufacturing System pillars and integrate them into daily operations.

Drive R2S standard adherencecenterlining and line stability to ensure consistent performance.

Conduct time & motion studies and internallogisticsassessments to unlock flow and savings.

Continuous Improvement & Loss Elimination

Lead savings and wastereduction projects using TPM WCM Lean Six Sigma tools and structured problem solving.

Identifysystemic gaps analyze process performance conduct rootcause analysis and implement preventive standards.

FacilitateKaizens (Standard Major Advanced) and replicate best practices across lines.

Capability Building & Training

Coown the Factory Training System ensuring robust skill matrices documentation and trainer effectiveness.

Deliver or coordinate training in technical standards CI tools problemsolving and 5S.

5S Basic Conditions & Documentation Standards

Lead factorywide 5S and basicconditions programs tomaintainclean safe and efficient work environments.

Develop or update Technical Standards to strengthen process stability and ownership.

Data & Performance Analysis

Manage systems foraccuratedata collection (production losses training MMP Code).

Convert data into actionable insights and communicate clearly across organizational levels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineeringor related engineering field.

  • 3-5 years of practical experience with CI methodologies: TPM WCM or Lean Six Sigma.

  • Experience leading E2E improvement projects in production processlogisticsand/or warehouse environments.

  • Proven experience leading changemanagement.

  • Analytical thinkerwith strong problemsolving abilities.

  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and conflictresolution skills.

  • Highproficiencyin Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook CMMS VisioInformance and other factory information systems.

  • Selfdriven detailoriented and resilient in fastpaced operational settings.

  • Skilled in data analysis dashboarding and performance reporting.

  • Comfortable working with digital tools CI systems and manufacturing databases.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with design software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks)

  • Unionized manufacturing experience

  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

Pay: The pay range for this position is $88600 to $133000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that areutilizedin making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications qualifications and education and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
