Our Precision Fires and Maneuver Systems (PF&M) OnsiteSenior Program Quality Manager (PQM) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) will support U.S. and/or foreign programs within the portfolio at ourTucson AZ location. You will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts.

You will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs and interface with U.S. Government Customers Foreign Customers Suppliers and our internal Raytheon Quality team. The PF&M portfolio includes contracts in all Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) phases including design and development production and sustainment.

This is an onsite position located in Tucson Arizona.

What You Will Do:

  • Become the Quality POC for the TOW weapon system Integrated Product Team (IPT) interfacing across program quality teams programs and customers overseeing technical quality and financial performance and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure Quality and Mission Assurance engagement in engineering development design and test requirements verification including the transition of design to production.
  • Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
  • Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders as it is vital to the success of this role.
  • Responsible for:
    • Quality of delivered products and services to our customers stakeholders of quality risks uncertainties and opportunities key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
    • Developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs implementation and influence.
    • Improving processes or systems using significant conceptualization reasoning and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined and information is typically difficult to obtain.
  • Assuring inclusion of quality requirements planning and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
  • Guide root cause analysis facilitate corrective actions and implement closed loop process controls to improve product/process predictability and capability.
  • Generation of new Cost of Quality (CoQ) CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence) CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs on the program.
  • Guide issue resolutions and solutions to production and Radar execution.
  • Experience in MRB (Material Review Board) disposition for variances to waive or deviate to requirements including RCCA and technical rationale.

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of ten (10) years engineering experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience with performance to cost schedule and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
  • Working experience in providing technical program oversight for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Six Sigma Lean CORE or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
  • Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management processes.
  • Experience in other functional areas such as engineering supplier engineering or operations.
  • Experience establishing cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
  • Experience generating and implementing Program/Product First Article Inspection (FAI) plans.
  • Experience Reviewing Statement of Work (SOW) Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) Knowledge of Purchase Order Quality Requirements (Q-Notes).
  • Hands-on experience in solving both business and technical problems.
  • Experience leading and developing employees
  • Experience in contract flow and compliance.

Onsite: Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 132400 USD - 251600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
