This Opportunity:
The primary responsibility of the Lead Behavioral Technician Child Crisis is to function as a leader among the Behavioral Technicians ensuring processes are efficient and effective ensuring excellent communication flows freely and demonstrating superior care at all times by providing direct care to individuals and families who receive services through Monarchs Crisis & Urgent Care Services supporting children in a therapeutic environment.What Youll Do:
Communicates with shift leadership and local leadership where process or staffing issues participate in problem-solving and proposing possible solutions to issues and ensures all processes are supportive of superior quality care.
Manage staff (e.g. hiring development performance terminating etc.) to ensure utilization of positions assigned to best meet the needs of the individuals served including assisting in staff scheduling to ensure all shifts are properly covered and in ratio with DHSR compliance and acuity needs.
Serve as a coach for new and existing Behavioral Health Technicians through Rounding sessions training new behavioral technicians in process and patient care expectations
Provide care to individuals receiving services in a manner that ensures safety client rights confidentiality dignity and therapeutic environment.
Conduct functions that contribute to the effectiveness and safety of the unit including crisis intervention taking vital signs observation of individuals receiving services. This also includes ensuring the environment is conducive to recovery.
Work with clients and families along with other team members to ensure crisis stabilization unit provides individuals receiving services with a safe and supportive environment consistent with recovery concepts and person-centered and treatment planning.
Coordinate and/or implement skill level activities involving the care treatment and training of individuals receiving crisis services.
Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain current licensure and certification in all agency state and federal training requirements.
Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas.
Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations.
Participate in on call as needed.
Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Driving and travel may be required.
