Position Summary:
- Western Middle School is seeking one (1) full-time 8th Grade teacher with an endorsement in Language Arts (BA) for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the ELA curriculum to 8th-grade students while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Curriculum Delivery: Responsible for delivering the English Language Arts curriculum to 8th-grade students.
- Student Engagement: Ability to connect meaningfully with middle school students.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in a Professional Learning Community (PLC).
- Subject Expertise: Possess specific subject area knowledge in Language Arts.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with students families staff and other stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to problem-solve and seek creative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Endorsement: Must have an endorsement in Language Arts (BA).
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication public relations and interpersonal skills.
