About the position
At La Trobe University clinical placements are central to preparing future nurses and supporting strong partnerships across the health sector. Were seeking an experienced Business Partner & Team Coordinator to lead our Metro Nursing placements portfolio supporting one of the Universitys largest and most operationally complex placement programs.
This continuing role combines people leadership operational oversight and internal strategic partnering. Youll lead a skilled team of placement professionals and work in close partnership with academic leaders in the La Trobe School of Nursing and Midwiferyone of Australias oldest tertiary nursing schoolsto ensure nursing students are supported through highquality compliant and wellcoordinated clinical placements.
About the role
Reporting to a Senior Coordinator (Health Placements) you will:
- Lead and support a portfolio team delivering metro nursing and midwifery placements
- Act as the primary business partner for Schools and academic leaders within the nursing and midwifery portfolio
- Oversee operational delivery resourcing and workflow management
- Ensure placement activity meets regulatory compliance and quality requirements
- Manage complex issues and escalations with sound judgement and professionalism
- Contribute to continuous improvement of placement operations and student experience
As a member of the Placement Partnering & Operations leadership group youll also contribute to the ongoing evolution of placement services as student demand regulatory settings and sector expectations continue to change.
Experience in tertiary education health placements or largescale service delivery environments will be highly regarded.

To be considered for this position you will have:
- Demonstrated experience leading professional staff in a complex operational environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills including partnering with academic and external stakeholders.
- Welldeveloped problemsolving and decisionmaking capability in highvolume service contexts.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A commitment to quality compliance and continuous improvement.
