Municipal Project Manager
Location: Phoenix or Mesa
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Up to $150000 per year (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced Municipal Project Manager to lead the planning design and delivery of municipal infrastructure and site development projects. This role is responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance and delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage municipal infrastructure projects including water sewer stormwater roadway and site development
- Prepare and oversee design reports feasibility studies and engineering documentation
- Develop construction drawings specifications and cost estimates
- Serve as primary client contact including scope development and contract negotiations
- Manage project budgets schedules and resource planning
- Coordinate with subconsultants contractors and regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with local codes standards and permitting requirements
- Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure technical accuracy and constructability
- Mentor and supervise engineers EITs and CAD staff
- Support business development proposals and client presentations
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within 6 months (via Arizona State Board of Technical Registration)
- 8 years of civil engineering experience including 3 years in project management
- Strong experience in municipal infrastructure projects (water sewer stormwater roadway)
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- HEC-HMS HEC-RAS SWMM
- WaterCAD SewerCAD StormCAD
- Strong knowledge of municipal codes MAG standards and permitting processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects budgets and schedules
- Excellent communication leadership and technical writing skills
- Experience with large-scale or multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
- Strong background in client management and public sector coordination
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and approvals
