Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Syracuse NY. This role will involve working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment providing exceptional care to patients during labor delivery postpartum and nursery care. The ideal candidate will have experience circulating C-sections and scrubbing C-sections is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in labor delivery postpartum and nursery settings
• Assist with and circulate during C-sections
• Perform patient assessments document care and ensure patient safety and comfort
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality compassionate care
• Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the birth process
• Float between labor and delivery postpartum and nursery as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

Requirements:

• Current New York State RN License (required)
• BLS certification (required and must be able to recertify)
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care facility of equal or greater size or trauma centers
• Experience circulating C-sections (required) ability to scrub C-sections (preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience (preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated
• Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim
• Legal right to work in the U.S.
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance drug screening and criminal background check
