The Customer Application Engineering Intern will support the Grid Automation team in driving business growth by assisting in the preparation of accurate competitive and compliant technical proposals for substation automation protection and control solutions including Telecom and Measurement & Diagnostics (M&D) systems.During this oneyear internship the intern will be exposed to the full tendering lifecycle supporting senior engineers in analyzing customer requests interpreting technical requirements and contributing to the development of optimized technical solutions. The role provides handson learning in understanding industry standards evaluating technical and commercial constraints and aligning proposed solutions with customer needs and business objectives.
The intern will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams such as sales engineering project management and external partners to support cost estimation risk identification and scope definition. Under guidance the intern will help ensure that proposals follow internal tender governance processes and contribute to building technically sound and commercially viable bids.
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to develop technical judgment proposal engineering skills and a broad understanding of grid automation solutions while contributing to real projects in a dynamic and professional environment.
Job Description
What will you do:
Identify review and analyze tender documents and requirements.
Collaborate with various departments (Operations Technical teams Sales etc.) to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
Coordinate with internal teams (for Validations etc.) to ensure timely and accurate submission of tenders.
Prepare and compile all necessary documents for tender submissions.
Manage the entire tender process from initial inquiry to final submission.
Validate tender requirements highlight risks to the cross-functional teams and prepare clarification requests if necessary. Identify what GE can have as the best offer for the specific tender.
Ensure all tender submissions are compliant with quality and regulatory standards and meet client requirements and deadlines.
Maintain a database of all tender documents and submissions.
Liaise with clients on technical subjects to obtain necessary information and clarifications.
Identify and assess potential risks associated with tender submissions. Develop risk mitigation plan for the identified risks.
Follow up on submitted tenders and provide additional information as required.
What will you bring:
Bachelors degree in electrical electronic industrial engineering or equivalent
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Grid Automation Business (Protection and Substation control system) is must.
Strong verbal and written English language skills
Comfortable in hybrid working conditions
Willing to travel %10- 15 in international area
What will make you stand out:
Telecom and M&D knowledge will be a plus
Understanding and knowledge of MENAT customer requirements and specifications
Understanding of commercial contracting guidelines
Pro-active approach with excellent interpersonal & communications skills
