Leo is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Amazon Leo is looking to hire a Software Development Engineer to support building and maintaining our Manufacturing Execution System. The implementation of these systems are critical to scalability and cost effective business operations. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while showing highest standards of execution.

Key job responsibilities
Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build highly-available software services.
Design and develop performant systems that meet the mission criteria and requirements.
Help on-board and mentor new team members.

A day in the life
You will conduct defect analysis and perform necessary fixes and improvements. Collaborate with functional owners architects and other personnel to develop dynamic and flexible systems to meet the emerging demands of internal customers in manufacturing. Review program codes and correct program errors. Maintain and update existing program codes as needed. Develop technical specification and estimations for assigned project. Work in compliance with the programming and documentation standards and solve production problems in a timely manner.

- 3 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 6 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
