Job Title:Manager Health & Safety

Department:Operations

Position Summary:Responsiblefor creatingexecutingand overseeing the continued development of IMG Academy safety planspoliciesand crisis management. Oversight includes ongoingteam membertraining establishment and maintenance of health safety and environmental programs and guidelines to ensure the highest possible degree of safety for employees and IMGA students.

KeyResponsibilities:

Training

• Develop comprehensive health and safety programsidentifyingtraining priorities target audiences deliverymethodsand timing

• Direct orassistin the development of specialized education and training materials

• Conduct targeted healthsafetyand environmental training programs to communicate hazard control information

• Conduct new employee occupational healthsafetyand environmental orientation

• Identifyand evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace and develop/implement preventive measures

• Lead annual weather emergency training for employees and students

• Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices

• Counsel andadvisemanagement concerning applicable city state and federal compliance regulations

• Schedule and implement bi-annualFirst Aid/CPR/AEDtraining for employees

Compliance

• Review injury and property damageIncidentreports involving IMGA closely with the Director of Incidents todetermineincidents severe enough towarrantfurther investigationforcorrective actions

• Work with People Operationsto evaluate Workers Compensation claims for OSHA Recordkeeping and corrective actions

• Develop controls foridentifyinghazards coordinate implementation of controls from hazard analysis and measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system policies and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities toeliminateworkplaceaccidents and injuries

• Act as liaison for IMG Academy with all local emergency response personnel and agencies

• Act asliaisonwith insurance risk engineering closely with Insurance Coordinator to evaluate claims for risk mitigation opportunities

• Organize and lead the Incident Command Planning Team (ICP)for all natural disasters and health emergencies

• Schedule andmaintainfire hurricanetornadoand otherdrillrecords

• Coordinate and ensure OSHA trainingmaintenanceand compliance for all departments

• Completeall necessary OSHAincidentreportingandOSHA 300 Log record keeping (Country Club and Legacy Hotel)

• Collaborate with the Director of Incidents toanalyze interpret and report accident loss and exposure statistical data;prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards

• Organize and lead the Safety Committee and conductquarterlysafety meetings with relevant departments and managers

Other

• This position isessentialstaff and will assist with Academy response duringemergenciesor weather-related situations. Essential staff may need toresideon campus for several days for extreme emergencies

• Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position

Qualifications:

• Musthave 5-10 years of experience working in roles of similar responsibility.

• BA/BS degree in Safety Engineering Industrial Hygiene Environmental Sciences or related field

• Minimum 3-5 years experience as health and safety coordinator or manager for an operating company

• Certification in Occupational Safety & Health

• Certification in National Fire Protection Association Standards

• Strong presentation and communication skills both verbal and written

• Skilled in standards concepts practices and procedures in the healthsafetyand environmental fields

• Knowledgeortraining in occupational health safety and environmental compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and standards

• Demonstrated experience delivering hands-on healthsafetyand environmental training

• Ability to develop implement and coordinate comprehensive health and safety accident prevention programs

• Strong PC Skills in MS Office

• OSHA Authorized Instructor for General Industry

• OSHA Authorized Instructor for Construction

• Knowledge of construction safety including inspection proceduresmethodsand practices; environmental health guidelines; and modern teaching and training methods

• Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be available to be onsite during all emergency events and drills

• Ability to lift movepushand pull equipment or boxesin excess of40lbs.

• Ability to move easily over a 5-mile campus both indoors and outdoors on a regular basis

• Ability to lift movepushand pull 40 pounds on a regular and consistent basis

• Position requires walking most of the working day

• Must be able to bend stoop squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks

• Must be able to climb stairs on a continuous basis

• Requires grasping writing standing sitting walking repetitive motions bending climbinglisteningand hearing ability and visual acuity

• Requires manual dexterity to use andoperateall necessary equipment

• Ability to work rotational schedules including days nightsweekendsand holidays

• Should be able to handle outdoor temperature for a reasonableperiod of time

• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym turf fields etc.

• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights weekends and holidays isrequired
