A vacancy has arisen for a library assistant in Central Library. You will assist in the delivery of a range of library services to the community. You will be educated to standard grade or equivalent be interested in literature and have good ICT skills.
A flexible approach to the working week which will include evening and weekend working is essential. You will have good communication skills and the ability to work with people of all age groups and abilities. Although previous library experience is desirable applicants with a customer focussed attitude and good team-working skills should also apply.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults. If your application is progressed after the interview you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
