Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of residents mobility strength balance and endurance

• Identify barriers to functional independence and design individualized physical therapy programs

• Address challenges related to mobility posture gait and injury or illness recovery

• Provide interventions to help residents regain strength prevent falls and maintain independence

• Support residents in daily functional tasks recommending adaptive equipment as needed

• Conduct exercises and mobility programs to enhance coordination flexibility and overall physical function

• Assess living spaces to recommend modifications for safety and accessibility

• Educate residents families and staff on therapy goals safe mobility and fall prevention

• Collaborate with OTs SLPs nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care

• Maintain accurate records of assessments treatments and progress ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and community policies
