Common patient populations include patients transferring from the Neuro ICU. This unit takes care of patients who have experienced neuro trauma subarachnoid intraventricular or intracerebral hemorrhage ENT patients with cancer who have had a tumor resection and flap reconstruction post-operative spine patients and a wide range of neurological problems. For perm staff and internal travelers to be eligible to return clinician must be separated for one year and be approved by UVA leadership. *Note that UVA does not allow external travelers to work on assignment for more than 365 days regardless of time off between contracts .
