Position Overview:

Zynga Games is looking for a Senior Game (Systems) Designer to join the team who made the runaway hit game Wizard of Oz Slots. We make the worlds most beautiful social slots and do so in a fast-moving supportive and energetic environment. Our team consists of industry veterans from both the real-money gaming and video game worlds giving us great depth and adaptability.

As a key feature owner and technical contributor to the foundation and success of slot machine creation the Senior Game (System) Designer will independently drive feature implementation working closely with artists developers and other team members to bring a unified vision to life. This role requires proven technical expertise and strong collaboration skills to maintain the integrity of slot machine design while architecting solutions and ensuring forward compatibility with our existing systems.

What Youll Do:

• Create and implement slot machine designs and mechanics from current industry favorites to new social casino innovations.

• Shepard the creation of slot machines from preproduction to launch.

• Determine and establish game development pipelines for each slot machine.

• Drive interdisciplinary efforts own the development process of slot machines and ensure our quality standards are met.

• Be highly motivated and independent looking for opportunities to improve the development process at every stage.

• Prototyping experience - You will be responsible for creating the functional framework for art programming and math teams.

• Gameplay scripting - You will be responsible for creating the game logic that drives each slot machine.

• Technical art - This position will create the necessary technical art framework for the art and animation team to implement gameplay visuals.

• 2D game development tools - The position will require working with 2D game development tools and animation software. (Unity3d Cocos Godot etc.)

• General game development tools - You will be required to work with general tools such as Perforce Git and general productivity software. XCode knowledge and competency is a strong plus.

• Outstanding planning and task management skills - You will understand how your work and that of others fit together and anticipate the needs of a variety of developers.

• At least 5 years relevant experience or education.

• Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.

• A solid understanding of game development and an eagerness to learn.

The pay range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $75700 and $112060 CAD per Year.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $100200 and $148320 USD per Year.

However base pay offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates such as job-related knowledge skills experience and other objective business considerations.

Subject to those same considerations the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company including: medical dental vision and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Companys discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related use of Artificial Intelligence is not being used to screen candidates.
