Greenskeeper III

PositionSummary:

The responsibility of the maintenance/groundskeeper is to assist in maintaining the excellent playing condition of the golf course along with responsibilities for the landscape and maintenance around the golf course. The maintenance/groundskeeper will perform major and minor mechanical repairs on a variety of diesel and gasoline powered equipment under the general direction of the Superintendent and/or regional head mechanic.

• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.
• Abilitytouseequipmentandtoolsproperlyandsafely
• Abilitytoinspectequipmentandrelatedcomponents
• Mustbehighlymotivatedgoaldrivenandselfâstarter
• Musthavetheabilitytofollowverbalandwritteninstructions
• Must be dependable and on time

Responsibilities:

• Follow thepreventativemaintenanceprogramtoreducemechanicalfailure

andpoorperformanceonallgolfcourseequipment

• Follow all safety protocols
• Perform all maintenance duties in a manner that promotes customer satisfaction
• Perform all maintenance duties in a prompt and efficient manner
• Help maintain a clean organized shop area
• Assureproperdisposalofall garbage found on the golf course
• Mows greens aprons fairways rough tees and other areas
• Perform other duties as assigned by the course superintendent

WorkingConditions:

• Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjobtheemployeeisregularlyrequiredtoreachwithhandsandarms.
• Theemployeeisoftenrequiredtostandwalkpushpullliftgraspbendandkneelforfivehoursatatime

withoutsitting.

• Theemployeefrequentlyisrequiredtositclimborbalancestoopcrawlhandlefeeloroperateobjectstoolsor

controls.

• Theemployeemustbeabletoliftand/ormoveupto30lbsoccasionally.
• Specificvisionabilitiesincludeclosedistancecolorandperipheralvisionanddepthperception.
• Moderateexposuretoextremecoldheatworkingoutdoorschemicalspesticidesgasolinevibration

This is a seasonal position. Typically this position will go from around April 1^st to November 1^st but may vary depending on the weather. Starting wages will be $18.00-19.00/hour.
