JOB SUMMARY

Employment Type:Permanent/Full Time

Were looking for an engineer or recent graduate to join our team developing high-performance pump lasers for global optical communication networks.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in photonics product development working across the full lifecycle from concept to manufacturing in a collaborative environment.

What Youll Do

• Support development and qualification of advanced laser products
• Collaborate with design process and packaging engineers to solve technical challenges
• Assist with testing characterisation and performance analysis
• Contribute to product improvements and design reviews
• Coordinate verification testing and report results
• Support new product introduction (NPI) with global manufacturing teams
• Help define product specifications and requirements

What Youll Bring

Essential:

• Degree in Engineering Physics Materials Science or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of photonics optoelectronics semiconductors or lasers
• Experience with experimental work and data analysis

• Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

• Programming (e.g. Python)
• Statistical tools (e.g. JMP)

• CAD or 3D design (e.g. SolidWorks)
