Responsibilities
Peraton is looking for a skilled Systems Engineer (SE) to support planning for and managing activities related to the government customers legacy processing systems upgrade to a modern cloud architecture. The legacy applications provide critical processing for a high priority national indications and warning focused mission. The program is tactically important to the national security of the United States.
The customer requires support to assess existing requirements and application(s) and assistance in determining what tools and services are needed to meet emerging requirements and support with the development of an updated architecture and design that will enable mission success as the new applications are developed in Amazon Web Services (AWS). The successful candidates should understand cloud architectures system engineering functions connected to requirements documentation and development and the recommendation of solutions including performing analysis of alternative solutions.
The range of work also includes managing and coordinating the portfolios master schedule deconstructing requirements into actionable and testable elements drafting of statements of work describing customers desired outcome for funded activities and monitoring the customers development and integration efforts against those requirements. #AJCM
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Required Education and Experience:
- A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience OR
- A Bachelors degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience OR
- A Masters degree or PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
- Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS system deployment strongly desired

Target Salary Range
$135000 - $216000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
