The successful candidate will oversee the entire engineering process from design and validation to production release ensuring that all deliverables meet high standards of quality cost and timeline.

The Role:

• Lead the electrical engineering team responsible for the design and development of ground support equipment.
• Oversee engineering projects from concept through design validation and production release.
• Ensure that all engineering deliverables are completed on time within scope and aligned with project budgets.
• Allocate engineering resources effectively across multiple projects.
• Provide technical guidance and decision-making support for complex engineering challenges.
• Support new product development initiatives and continuous product enhancement.
• Conduct performance reviews and facilitate career development planning for your team.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence accountability and continuous improvement.

The Person:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of leadership experience within an engineering department.
• Proven track record in designing electrical systems for heavy equipment vehicle or mobile machinery systems.
• Strong experience using CAD tools (e.g. EPlan SolidWorks Electrical AutoCAD Electrical).
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes electrical integration and machine operation.
• Excellent organisational communication and leadership skills.
• Experience implementing engineering process improvements or design standardisation initiatives.
